OVERVIEW
Snosko was asked to design and supply a solution to safely store and meter IBCs storing hydrochloric acid for an LNG plant in Malaysia.
The fuming properties of hydrochloric acid meant that the fumes needed to be treated to avoid detrimental effects to surrounding personnel and plant.
SOLUTION
Snosko liaised with operators on site to gauge the site limitations.
Snosko’s Engineers were then able to design a fume scrubbing system which could be integrated into the bund.
RESULTS
Snosko’s 1,400L IBC Bunds were designed, tested, and packaged in a container and transported to Malaysia.
The design integrated the fume scrubber underneath the IBC holding shelf. This ensured the footprint of the bund remained small while meeting the plant’s treatment objectives.
